The panettone sounds DIVINE! Love your detailed, imaginative stories and they really make your cakes come alive! The figure is totally cool and I love the idea of an Italian chef standing on top of the Italian panettone. Awesome =D

Thanks so much Lina! The top was a bit squashed and some of the almonds and rock sugar had fallen off. i padded the top with fondant where the surface is not level before I laid the fondant tablecloth on it. After that it looked as good as new! :) xxxx

Thanks so much Dina! Lol! I really didnt know that the panettone is mainly for Christmas until my sis told me that the Italians only bake it for Christmas time. What a lovely coincidence that my Dad is good at cooking an Italian dish and that his birthday falls on New Year Eve which is just a few days after Christmas.

Your dad’s birthday is the same like my mom’s.
Spaghetti Blognese is Karl’s favorite dish.
I love Panettone anytime but I can only find it around xmas.
We have things in common :-)

Fiona and Cakes Rock, you must heat up the wok until it is red hot before stir frying to get the ‘wok hei’! Otherwise there is no difference with other pans. :) xxxx
