Oh Violet, this is super cute!! I am doing a farm theme for my grandson’s 2nd birthday in March. I hope mine turns out adorable too! I have seen some of your other farm themed cakes, and they are all so cute!

Christine – sorry forgot to answer earlier…a smash cake is usually made for a 1st birthday and is a special cake just for the birthday boy/girl. It’s for photo ops because they are so cute when they get their first taste of sweets and is often made with buttercream or whipped cream icing so it gets good ’n messy. Mine I still do fondant ’cause my BC icing skills suck even on a small cake lol
