Hi Helen.. Welcome to cakes decor. The daily top 10 uses a formula based on faves, comments and views to calculate which are the top cakes in that last 24 hours. I am not sure of the weighting system used for faves and such.

As for editor’s choice it is just that. Michal or Martin pick their favorite cake posted that day.

Hi Helen. Yes just that. It’s not always the most favourited cake so it can seem confusing when trying to figure it out, it’s a secret formula that means people with less followers get a bump up. A bit like a golf handicap ;)

Thanks so much x I’ve posted a few cakes but they hardly get viewed and I thought I might be missing something. I look at alot of the cakes posted and the are so amazing and detail so I put down to my work not being as good yet to compete with the standard. 😀

I’ll pop and follow you now. It takes time to build up a little network. I love topportunity browse but follow so many people sometimes it’s hard to find the time to look at all the cakes x

Hello Helen. To answer your second comment.. with so many cakes posted each day it takes some time to build up reputation and ‘followership’. Just keep being active, comment, follow etc. it’s a community thing :)

Thanks for the advice Martin, I will most definitely it’s a great community to be apart of 😀 like you said I need to use it more x

Hi Helen – glad you asked
This question as I’d been wondering the exact same thing! And assumed that few followers just probably meant I’m not seen very much. I’m going to go follow you now too 😊
