Standard is Rising!
Is it just me or does the standard of cakes being posted seem to be getting better on here by the day! Ive now got so many faves because I just have to fave a stunning cake. Especially tonight, there have been some sublime cakes posted. It makes me very excited for the future of cakes decor, the calibre of cake decorators on here just keeps going up and up!
I find it very inspiring to see all this amazing work and it pushes me to aim for the same. What does everyone else think about this?

I agree with you the standard of cakes being posted are getting more stunning, more beautiful, more complicated, more brilliant every day! We have to think positive maybe we are all just getting better at it and willing to go that step further. I believe we are encouraging each other and some wonderful generous cakey people are sharing their knowledge through tutorials etc to help us heighten our courage to try more fabulous and more challenging creations. Thank you to everyone for sharing your brilliance to novices like me!! :-)

TOTALLY agree Christine and Cakemummy !!! I haven’t found a nicer place either to showcase than here … whether you’re a beginner or well accomplished, the same kindness and encouragement is given to all and I love that ! I do sooooo suffer from cake envy when I see these gorgeous creations, but yes, it certainly inspires to not only improve, but to also find your own niche and style, and that’s hard sometimes when you’re still a relative ‘newbie’ to the cake world (like me !) I guess it’s practice practice and practice some more, and knowing that most people are more than willing to share tips and tutorials makes it a very ‘safe’ place to be … I think I’m becoming an addict to this site, actually, strike that …. I AM addicted ! :D xx

Yes, I’ve noticed this too…wonderful to see so many stunning cakes and definitely enjoy the warmth and characters amongst the folk here. Sometimes I feel guilty for faving too much but I just can’t help it!

It is really wonderful and inspiring to see all of the stunning work, different styles and themes from all over the world. This coupled wit a super friendly atmosphere makes Cakes Decor a truly rewarding community to be a part of!

You are right, the standard is really high!! CakesDecor is such a big source of inspiration and it is such a friendly community, I find myself spending more and more time stuck to my PC!!!
