So excited about Cake lace
Hi CD friends.
A while ago we were in a chat about using Sugar veil for lace and Elli said she uses Cake Lace, (never heard of it). Well I got onto a bit of research about it and it sounded amazing, the best part about it is it does not dry out and disintegrate.
I ordered some straight away and i have just used it. WOW!! It really is amazing.
You only have to mix up a small amount so no waste and it is ready to put on your cake in about 20 mins and it smells devine, I am totally sold on this love love love it.

I was using Cake Lace very successfully, great product. But I have now switched to Sweet Lace by Doric Cake Supplies… They kindly gave me some to try and it’s even better… Easy handling and mixing too… :)

ooooooo thank you Calli. Once i have used up my Cake lace (a whole new tub) I will give that a go :).
Yes it is a bit pricy but it looks amazing and a it lasts for ever.

I love cake lace! I will never use Sugar Veil after I had discovered cake lace!

I won’t use Sugar veil either. Didn’t work for me… Yes, the mats are not cheap but you can also pipe with the mixture as well, :)

The lace was made from start to finish within about 40 mins………totes amaze and I didn’t know you could pipe with it as well, fabulous. Thanks for the tip Calli.
Yes I want to try Sweet Lace as well now, that is next on my list x

You UK/European decorators are very fortunate. You can purchase pre-made potable lace. Not so here in Canada. Exhorbatant to have shipped from the UK. And I’ve only found one online Canadian decorating supply that sells potable lace, and the price and shipping was totally unaffordable. 😥
Karen: I have several small lace mats, and I purchased them from Ali Express a online shop based in China. They’ve worked out well.
