Cake Decorating Business

Green eyed monster

Hi all,
A few things have happened this week, I just wanted to share some of my thoughts with you on them. I’m not going to recount the details because I don’t think it would be helpful… But maybe the following would be.

Real creativity comes from within, the best of what we do as cake artists is bring forth some vision from within ourselves, some message or image of beauty from within our being, into the world – allowing us to share some part of ourselves, to touch the hearts of the others who can appreciate our work. I truly believe that. What each and every one of us can bring into the world is unique, as unique as each of us is inside… There is room for everyone to bring forward what is theirs without being overshadowed or lessened by the presence of others. Would it make sense to say one more bloom in a field full of flowers is unnecessary or unwelcome? Would you ever be able a to see the real, collective beauty of the scene as well as the merits of the individual flowers, by comparing one to another and picking faults? Every creation which comes from the heart of a person carries it’s own depth and beauty which never lessens regardless of who sees it or not, how many likes or comments it gets.

If you have ever felt negatively towards another person… One who seems to be able to do things too easily when you worked very hard, one who has effortless style when you have creative bloc, who can paint when you can barely write straight, or who has any talent you wish you had, or is trying to make their own mark in the world and you wish they would go away. .. I would like to ask you to stop looking at them and what they can do, and look inside yourself. See the love and spirit with which you perform your art. See that which you bring into the world which nobody else can. Appreciate what you can do which is far better than many others, and what many others might envy you for… And please, feel genuinely secure and happy in your heart of yourself and your place in this world, which nobody else could take, no matter how successful they were. Now, is there any remaining reason to feel badly towards another?

Look back at the person you felt badly towards.. but not just as a collection of cakes or Facebook posts. Understand the string of failures and heartaches that must have come before each success, the hours of struggling with their creative works and their own demons which must have come before what the world sees now… Their talents, and their shortcomings too.. . More than that, recognise they are just as flawed, and wonderful, and valuable as you are – that behind the different styles and attitudes you are so much more the same as them than different, that you could be looking at a mirror. We are all this wonderful, unfathomable thing called human… The most far reaching and exalted being on earth. That common identity is so much greater than the false barriers we put up to divide it. The same value, and love, you are worthy of just by being “you”, others are worthy of just by being themselves too. Help them realise their worth, and hundreds, or thousands would be there to help you realise yours if you ever needed it.

I wish each of us finds a deep, secure love for ourselves, and can learn to see all of ourselves inside others, when we look at them.

Wonderfully and heart fully said Sawsen… We all need to be reminded…that everyone matters….

Creativity is God's gift to us. Using our creativity is our gift back to God. Clarky's Cakes 😎

In life we will always find our own balance… Some are more talented than oneself some are less talented than oneself …. Prettier… Not as pretty… Etc etc…
… Having been unjustly victimised for my love for creating these past two years (of which I have totally risen above and now laugh about it) this is a subject close to my heart … Thanks for the great write up :)
