Josie - Cake It 'Til You Make It
Hi all,
I’ve seen quite a few introduction forums floating around, so I thought I’d have a shot at one myself :)
I’m Josie, and I’m nineteen years old… and I often find I’m one of the younger ones on Cakes Decor! But I promise what I lack in life experience thus far, I make up for in enthusiasm!
I was always quite a crafty kid, never seeming to put down the paint, pencils or the gluestick! So I’m glad that in the last year or so I have discovered cake decorating – a new way to express my creative style :) I love experimenting with hand painting especially!
I started Cake decorating by doing the odd cake for my friends, and when I finished high school I had more free time on my hands, so did more and more (and more) cakes, and set up a facebook page (Facebook.com/cakeittilyoumakeit) to show all my friends but it’s just grown and grown and grown… and know not only do I show my friends my cakes, but I’ve made many cakey friends too!
When I’m not caking, I’m down at my cookery course (which I persued after developing an interest in decorating!), or down at my local roller skating rink training – as I compete in artistic Rollerskating!
I’m so keen to learn so much more! I’m so glad we have websites such as Cakes Decor which has so much information and so many talented people to talk to :)

I especially love your hand-painted cakes! The Koi and the Frozen cake were great, so I do hope you definitely continue with that!

It’s so nice to know more about you Josie, I love your cake enthusiasm, that is a big part of cake world, loving what you do.
I love how we are different ages, from different parts of the world, with different life stories and we can still learn so much from each other, no matter what our age is.
And you know what people sometimes say, younger people are more daring to try different things while older ones sometimes choose to play it safe instead ;)
I’m happy we are such a big and different bunch, that is what makes us complete and you will always have someone to ask for advice when you get stuck…
