Hello!
I don’t bake nor cook. I am a graphic artist and a nurse, but I just discovered I could successfully make figures out of fondant or gumpaste. One day I played with it in the kitchen and did a hello kitty while Mom is away. My mom is the one who bakes by the way. When she came back, she was so amazed with my 2 inch hello kitty figure. Since then, I started making bespoke cake designs and the harder they are the more I’m inspired to start and finish them.
Is there anyone here who also decorates cake without any knowledge on baking?

That is soo cute. I’ve been baking since my early teens. I used to help my mom in the kitchen. Since my dad loved sweets I used to make the dessert.
Ahhhh, such a perfect Hello Kitty… Welcome to CD!!! I was a random baker for years, mainly desserts, but NO cake decorating at all, till 5 years ago…, I also come from a graphics background. :) Hope to see more of you lovely models and delighted to hear how much your enjoying it.

Aw thank you for welcoming me here, you guys! I feel at home already! There are lots of talented cake decorators here! Glad to find another graphic artist, too! I guess when you’re an artist any craft is easy with determination and practice… :)
Determination yes… Easy?. Hahaha… Transposing art to cakes has had its challenges, but that’s how I/we learn xxx 😄😄
