"A Painted Easter" Collaboration
Happy Easter!! I’d like to share a special Easter collaboration I co-hosted with LeAnn Wheat of Cheerful Heart Bakery.
“A Painted Easter” is more than a celebration of Easter. This collaboration challenged a large group of international sugar artists to try their hand at the art of hand-painting. Any edible medium could be used, and these amazing artists truly rose to the challenge, stepping outside their comfort zones to create some amazing pieces of art! Each piece also contains at least one hidden egg… Can you find them all?
A Painted Easter is dedicated to Ruth Rickey and her favored charity Go Mitch Go. Ruth has been such an inspiration to sugar artists around the world. Ruth has a reputation for being so kind to everyone,and for her willingness to help others in the area of sugar art. But more so, she has shown a tremendous strength of will by not only overcoming a rare form of leukemia, but also by embracing life and thriving after entering remission. Thanks so much for posting Becca…. Loved every moment of this fun happy collaboration.l. And more importantly that the joy I got seeing people taking on painting (and not sure they could) and seeing so gratifyingly their beautiful works…… Which takes me back to the same comment Ive made to so many people that there is an artist in us all… Congratulations to all and their superb and gorgeous painted creation… Xxx
