Hi and I'm Michelle Wong

My name is Michelle, a full-time mother to my 3 beautiful children and my previous job was marketer for a small construction company. And now I’m still a full time mother (just got to love that job) and a cake decorator -specialised in gumpaste flowers.
My cake decorating business starts 2 1/2 years ago when I first saw a few clips of tutorial on how to decorate cakes, especially on gumpaste flowers, and also researching pictures on the Internet which I came across to see Robert Haynes’s sugar flowers, it’s so incredibly fascinating. From then on I started to have some basic lessons of making gumpaste flowers with Stella Abraham. I’ve learned the basic concept, then I started to develop my own. Within 6 months I entered into competition at the Royal Melbourne Show and had awarded first/special award in Sugar flower arrangement for novice and a year later also first in the open. To be able to compete in the show was a great experience, winning a prize even more special, but mostly importantly was to have a chance to meet other talented cake decorators and seeing their works was beyond expectation.
Since high school I always loved art but did not had a chance to pursue in that path but now my dream had come true………not as a painter but very happy to be a cake decorator.
