After a demanding career I was fortunate to be able to retire early and finally have time to pursue different interests.
My husband and I are keen scuba divers and spend as much time as we can travelling and diving.
I saw an advert for a cake decorating class and decided to give it a go - and am now a keen hobby baker who loves making cakes for family and friends.
I particularly like making cakes for children - I have two granddaughters - the looks on their faces when they see their birthday cake is beyond price and is the greatest reward possible for the hours that often go into them!
I also found a local Free Cakes For Kids group and it is a delight when we get nominations to make birthday cakes for children who probably wouldn't receive one otherwise.
I enjoy learning new skills and playing with new toys!
