Hey Sugarcrumb I had a hard time the first time using them but then I watched the videos again and they helped a ton. I found that if I run the fondant through a pastas machine on the middle setting it rolled it thin enough to push into the mold properly. I then brushed the fondant with corn syrup water mixture he mentions. I used a very pointy tool to then get the excess pieces out.

Hope this helps and good luck.

I don’t have a pasta roller, guess I’ll have to get one. Thanks for replying x

I have a couple of those onlays and it might be my imagination but someone are easier to use than others. What has worked for me was to add more sugar to the fondant to make it stiffer, then rolling it really thin. Sometimes after rolling it I actually walk away to do something else and let it firm up a bit. Found it much easier this way.

Pasta machine is the easiest was to roll even, dont forget to dust the mat first

I had a question concerning the on lays and sent an e-mail to Marvelous Molds, and the next day I received a phone call from the owner/founder, Dominic Palazzolo! I never expected that. He was so informative and addressed all my questions and gave me some tips on how to use the on lays. He said just call with any questions. So, email them and see what happens. There are so many YouTube videos that might help you.
