Cake Decorating

Someone posted one of my cake pictures as their own!

I’m sure this has happened to many of you amazing bakers before, but this is the first time (that I know of) that this has happened to me. Lizzystreats sent me a message and link
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=485946678130415&set=pb.328315800560171.-2207520000.1363503135&type=3&theater
to my Minnie Mouse cake picture on a cake page on Facebook. They actually put their watermark over mine. It’s hard to believe that bakers actually do such a thing, but I guess it happens all the time. Thanks Elizabeth for bringing it to my attention, and thanks ladies for letting me vent!!

Oh yeah, that is definitely your cake. I wonder if he is going to answer your comment.

I’ve just read this and gone to the link.
It’s strange – on FB it says he opened on March 27th 1989, but there’s nothing appearing since this year (at least not for me). And he has 58 likes, so maybe not around for all that long yet?
Trying to pass off someone else’s cake as your own is completely unacceptable.
Hope you manage to get this sorted out.

Did you report the picture? I would. It gives you an option as to why and I think one is that the picture is your property.

Thank you Goreti, I didn’t know you could do that.

You can by going to options at the bottom of the page. It gives you the option to report/remove tags. When you click on that, you are given options as to why you are reporting it.

I’ve just looked at his face book album and there looks to be pictures taken from lots of famous bakes on there too. I’m sure some are Peggy Porschen and Pretty Witty cakes too. This is just not on.

Hey, did you see his response! I told him I’m not buying it. That is definitely your cake! Funny how the other cakes he has don’t have a watermark but that one has it exactly where you had yours.

Thanks for sticking up for me Goreti! I wouldn’t mind if someone used a picture and said they would be able to duplicate this cake, but don’t say that it is your cake and change the watermark on it!

I was just about to say what Goreti did. None of his other cakes have that watermark. Just crazy.
