realistic smoke?
Hi all,
I have a birthday cake to do next week of a car on a drag strip (racing strip). I thought it would be really cool if I could somehow have smoke coming off the tires of the car as if it’s just taking off & burning rubber. I am drawing a blank as how to accomplish this other than using cotton candy which I don’t think will hold up due to the humidity.
Does anybody else have any suggestions?

How about Isomalt dragged, curled and dragged to give it the effect you want? Can be coloured too.. Wafer paper may just pull it off too..

Could you somehow have one of those indoor cake firework fountain candle thingys coming out of the back like flames? Don’t know what they’re called :) xx

Both of your ideas sound great Sumaiya but I don’t have either product on hand & don’t have the time to order them. I think I’m giving up on the smoke idea :-(

Thank you Julie for the suggestion but I’m not sure what they might do to the cake. Might get too hot & melt the fondant?
