Tiered Cake Boxes

Does anyone know where I can get a box that will hold a 3 tiered cake? I need one in a couple of weeks and the Bake-A-Box website has been down for a couple of days now.

Any help appreciated. :) Thanks

Some bakers uses moving boxes from Home Depot or Lowes. They have various sizes but they do have the logo on it so maybe you can cover it or paint the box.

I use shipping boxes from WalMart or Home Depot. I turn the box on its side so the cake will slide in and out easily. Instead of using round cake boards, I cut 2 cardboard squares to fit the box and tape them together and cover in paper. That way the cake board fits the box perfectly and won’t slide around in there. Then I put a small piece of tape over the flaps, so all I have to do is remove the tape and slide the cake out.

Hope that helps!

I have resorted to using clear plastic rubber maid containers. (people can see inside the container, as you are carrying it, great advertising!) You usually only need a box to deliver the cake. Once you deliver it, it get’s eaten and you don’t need that big of a box if there are left overs.
I like it because it’s environmentally friendly too! No trees, no waste, and it’s reusable.

If you are still looking for tiered wedding cake boxes, globalsugarart.com has them.

Thanks for the advice and ideas Michal and tokazodo.

tokazodo I actually looked at globalsugarart but their boxes are not tall enough. :(

I just buy the window boxes from Michael’s or Hobby Lobby and pull off the plastic window. If the tiers are too wide, I use an xacto knife to cut it wider. The top two tiers stick out but I haven’t been able to find another option that isn’t expensive. These even fit:

For my tiered cakes I just use shipping boxes. I get them at Walmart. I think the largest I have seen there is a 16X16. You could probably try a packing or storage store for thelarger sized boxes.

Thanks for all the ideas… I will have to think about what will be the best option provided. :)
