Cake International

I am loving seeing all the cakes from CI at Birmingham this weekend. There have been some incredible creations and I have been wishing that I had gone this year. The next one us closer to home at Manchester next Spring. I am toying with the idea is entering (gulp), if I date, what would be a recommended category for a first timer?

Go for it Roo xx My first entry was the Wedding cake section and I was lucky enough to get a Merit for it so I’d say just pick what you like doing best and have fun xx

I would recommend doing the wedding category as this is one of the categories you can use Dummy cakes. I entered last year for the first time and got Silver, it was an experience I can highly recommend but stressful too (hence why I didn’t enter this year with moving house and building work etc) I would say go for it Roo and let your imagination just play (if you know what I mean) xx

I have been peeking at my phone all day too, some pretty amazing cakes on there. Wish I was going, but I have been spending too much recently and know I will go absolutely berserk spending once I get there, I just can’t be trusted! Like any other person with a serious problem, I should just avoid temptation 😁. Have a brilliant time Mel and Carol xx

I have found that the cost for things there is more with some suppliers so I am very careful and only get what I consider to be a bargain. Am very jealous of those that entered but may be next year xx

You must never limit your challenges, instead you must challenge your limits

Must get organised, and saving, for Manchester then.
