Hello Folks,

I need to make some orchids for a wedding on Saturday (leaving it late I know) but they need to be Magenta I have included a picture so you know the kind of colour I am after. Please what colour and brand would I use or a mix to get this colour! Help needed ASAP thank you so much. xx https://pic.cakesdecor.com/o/magenta_wi3im3.jpg!

I’m not sure what brand of food color you use but I have this chart which might be of help. http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/coloring/colormixingchart.htm
I would try the combination they have as raspberry and see how close that gets you. Hope this helps.
I have used americolor fuchsia to get that color, first I tried mixing it but never succeeded… According to the charts it should be purple and red mixed but it never looked good so I just bought it. You could even try Americolor Electric Purple but that one is a bit more dark than fuchsia. Hope this helps :)
ps. I took a photo of both of them, maybe this will help you to see how they look before you decide if they are the right ones :)

I have had good results with rose rosado of wilton. But you can also make them white and dust them with a nice bright pink dusting powder
Thank you so much everyone I really appreciate it xx

Many thanks everyone, as you may have seen I have now done my orchids and they turned out pretty good. I used a combination of powders in the end as the americolour arrived after I had made the flowers, but this brand have lovely bright strong colours and I shall look forward to using it. x
