Communion cake design

Hi Jo, I have the same request for May but the only difference is that the boy and girl are twins :-) I was looking into doing a gender neutral cake or soft pink and blue mix on the same cake.. Did you pick a design yet? Mine wants ruffles like my ruffled cake that had the mosaic angel on it so thought light blue, light pink!!

What about the little girl in her communion dress and the boy in his suit. But instead of them kneeling., looking stoic. Have them smiling and holding hands…like the friends they are. Morse whimsical. Just a thought.

Oh and about the figure toppers, I like June’s idea (am not too keen on modeling so can’t really help you on that). And if you don’t want it to look like a wedding cake, don’t place the figurines on top of the cake, maybe on the board?

Ive started the faces of the figures and jad same design thoughts like yours—-.. like on their communion dress/suit…now im at a loss for poses., expressions?cake placements? Yes. I was thinking Bianka was holding a bunch of grapes for bouquet sitting in a cake ledge and Max has a bible on his hands squatting on the cake board reading the binle..Colors ? Ivory, white , pearl ized, pastel, flowers? Pale blue and pinks are in…

Actually the boy & girl perched on the cake ledge holding hands would be cute. Girl holding spring coloured flowers with a cross tucked into the bouquet and the bible in the boys hand sounds nice. And perhaps a angel on the top?
Perhaps one tier pale blue, the other very pale pink?7

Yes, I like the angel idea!! Even on a baptism cake that I am having next week, we are having an angel instead of a cross!
