When I made my Jungle Safari Cake for George I wanted to make those very ‘jungley’ leaves with the loopy slits in the sides but I didn’t have a cutter. I had a little think and came up with this idea. I used an empty drink can and cut a strip and folded it around into a petal shape as you can see in the picture. The cut metal isn’t as dangerously sharp as you might think but please be careful :-)
As you can see, I used a heart shape and a basic leaf shape but I think my favourite is the heart. I marked a single centre vein with my dresden tool.
Thank you for looking and I hope this is helpful to someone.
