Hi everyone,
This is a cake I made for my nephew’s 10th birthday which was actually supposed to be a train cake. Since he’s also a Scooby-Doo fan (besides being a train addict) I managed to convince him this legendary cartoon would be a much cooler theme for his cake (and an opportunity for me to let my imagination run wild a bit ;-) ) Luckily he agreed, I put some Halloween feeling into it and he absolutely loved it! The cake was vanilla sponge, pastry cream and chocolate.
I intended to make all characters 3 dimensional but the time was running short and I had to come up with plan B. Caught eye on the web of some mystery machine cakes (one from the amazing Zoe’s Fancy Cakes) that involved painting so I decided to give it a go. It’s nowhere near that level but I hope you’ll like it!
My hubby did a great job with the pictures I think, he’s getting serious :-)
