The original brief for this cake was for it to feature stags. I spent ages making a cute little plastic template to cut around but no matter how I tried I couldnt get those spindly legs and antlers to look good in gumpaste – way beyond me; I was so cross with myself :-(
Luckily the customer was my lovely colleague Wendy who had another think and then gave me some photos of Molly. So no stag cake but a nice personal cake instead I hope :-) I dont think I have ever used so many different ribbons on one cake – there are 4 here!
