Our precious baby cousin, Jett, is being blessed this weekend, & his awesome mom is celebrating with a nautical themed party. She sent me a few ideas, & mentioned that she loved where the anchor also looked like a cross, since that went with the church blessing too. I had free rein on design, & there were several elements I had been wanting to do.

I had seen several cakes with big anchors split on 2 tiers, but I put a twist on that idea by extending the top of the anchor to be the cake topper instead, which allowed me to create waves on the bottom tier. Gold portholes & rope wrap around the back of the top tier. I’m not happy at all with the pics because the cross topper just wouldn’t show up on the backdrop very well, but this was the best backdrop I had for this theme. I need more backdrops! LOL!

Top tier is Strawberry Fields Forever, & bottom tier is Disco Lemonade.
