Growing up, thanks to dad’s collection, we were lucky enough to watch some great classics like Sound of Music, My Fair Lady, Fiddler on the roof, Gone with the Wind, The Tale of Two Cities and many more as our treat for having a good week at school. Ever since then, even now these movies occupy a special place in my heart, so when I needed to come up with a design for this simple cake, my mind went to Eliza’s gorgeous Black and White over the top bow dress…you know which one I’m talking about don’t you? Stepping ever so slightly away from black, I incorporated royal blue into this. Handmade extra large fondant bow and brooch gives this cake the sophistication it needs.
