A new look to the cake page?
Maybe it’s just my computer, but there seems to be a new look to the cake page. At first I couldn’t even figure out where /how to upload a comment. The “new” button seems to be gone. Then I found the “+” button. Changes make me uncomfortable :)
For anyone in the know, can we no longer see how many faves a cake has gotten?
It would have been nice had someone explained the changes to be beforehand.
Or maybe I’m the only one who feels as if the carpet has been pulled out beneath me ….

And can anyone explain the difference between the “like” button and the “fave” button?? And if I pin something, where will I be able to find it and how is that different than going to my list of faves?

Hi there,
you are right. We did a redesign to all of the pages, but don’t worry, you are not the only one who sees it :).
Here are the answers:
- We will add the number of favorites below the cake title
- Like button is a Facebook Like Button – If you click on it, your like will be visible on the Cake If it’s shared on facebook.
- Fave button is “our favorite button”. This works the same way it worked before – number of faves counts to a cake score.
- Pin Button is a Pinterest button – you can use it to pin pages to your Pinterest account if you have one

And since we are already chatting, I have one more question: Why are the “daily top 3’s” called that since often there are as many as 8 top 3’s for a single day???

Daily Top 3 Cakes chart is re-evaluated every hour. If there is a cake that gets higher score than the Daily Top 3 cakes, it is automatically moving up in the chart.
We should probably change that name to “Daily Favorite Cakes” or something like that.

Well, ya miss a couple of days…and Bam, big changes!!! Guess I’ll get use to the new format. I do like the title… “Daily Favourite Cakes”.

It is from an old joke, The Garden Baker, and I always thought it was so funny. Several years ago I was planting an iris bed, on my knees and bent over. The wind was so fierce, it literally blew my blouse off and all the way over my arms before I could catch it. Mike loved it, me not so much.

howdy all, i got the email notifier that my cake went top 3 but the link only shows my cake photo without the cake decor badge or the widget in it unlike before. not sure why though? is thjs also a new change? Love, Bennett
