Wilton 1/2 shortening 1/2 butter frosting question

Hello. I want to make the Wilton frosting with 1/2 shortening and 1/2 butter for a cake on Thursday evening. I can only frost it Wednesday night. Can i leave it on the counter from Wednesday night to Thursday night?

Any suggestions?
