What is the best buttercream frosting recipe? It seems to me they are all made pretty much the same. Except some have heavy whipping cream and shortening.
Everyone preference is a little different. I do not like shortening in my frosting at all and not a fan of any super sweet and neither is my family. We prefer Swiss Meringue buttercream and I use a recipe lower in sugar than most of the recipes out there. We also like chocolate ganache, a mix of dark and milk chocolate.
