Holding a Cake Decorating Class

We have recently been asked to hold a cake decorating class, however we have never done one and we are unsure how to charge for something like this. If any of you fantastic cake makers have any information on how you charge for something like this, please help! We are open to any suggestions. I think we will be hosting about 15 ladies. Thank you for taking the time to read and give your input! :)

I’ve taken classes, and it depends on whether your students are providing there own materials, or your providing for them. I’ve done both. Paid with everything included..the teaching and supplies and just being taught and bringing my own supplies with a list provided for the course by the teacher. This factors into your price. Also including the amount of time and your expertise as a teacher into the price. And what are you making…cake, cupcakes, flowers….figures??? Big difference in what you charge in that range.
Hope this helps.

I’m a fully qualified tutor and prices vary as the other lady says depending on if you are supplying everything or if students are bringing a list of things. If its a simple class like cupcakes or cookie decorating its easier to supply everything for say a minimal £15-20 morning session. Also have a look to see what other classes are running near you to guage the price. Hope this helps
