Fondant Roller by Caketrick

I have not tried the Caketrick but if you want something a little more reasonable I have had great success with my silpat rolling pin and The Mat from sweetwise. I am able to roll out my fondant fairly quickly and with out to much struggle.

I will check it out Prima! I use a marble rolling pin but it isn’t very big and the handle is starting to break, it’s only a matter of time now. Ty!

Hi, I’m new here, but I noticed Debbie mentioning The CakeTrick and how much she likes it. It is pricey, but I’m still considering getting one. $130 would be worth it if it made my fondant rolling quicker and easier. I have The Mat and I use it every time I roll out a big piece of fondant, but even smaller pieces can wear me out sometimes. I’ve tried almost everything, including a concrete-filled PVC pipe with capped ends! :)

We had someone in our town go out of business and sell her stuff. Well she gave one of the ladies in our cake club what she used for a rolling pin. It was a BIG piece of black PVC pipe. It had plastic things on the end to close it and inside she had something, not sure what, sand, beans … I really don’t know. But it made it heavy and she said it was the best thing ever for rolling out fondant. I am going to ask her about it at our next meeting. It wouldn’t be expensive to make yourself and the lady that went out of business had used it for years and loved it.

$135 for a rolling pin? Goodlord, I’m still using my $20 one from Wilton lol!

I know the price is why I was really curious. I have been using a marble rolling pin I bought at a yard sale about 10 years ago for a buck, but the handle is starting to break so I will need to replace it soon.
