Sorry I’ve been a bit quiet on here recently :-(, I have tried to keep up to date with everyone’s new cakes, so sorry if I’ve missed any :-(. Life has been a little mad recently!
As anyone who read my profile on here knows, I have always wished to go full time with my cakes,….and this happened very suddenly three weeks ago when I was made redundant from my day job!! So I’ve spent the last few weeks searching and booking stalls at local fairs, and markets, attending networking meetings and networking in my local town…phew!! Its all very exciting and very scarey all at the same time!!
I’ve also decided to start teaching my carved cakes and hand sculpted toppers from the autumn as I love teaching :-), I’m going to start with my horse and Barney bear cake. I am planning to teach from my kitchen at home initially and am also looking for venues to teach from in the UK and maybe other countries later if anyone offer any advice on this I would really really appreciate it :-)

Congratulations Sarah!! It’s often a push like the one you have received to really make you take what you like seriously enough to take the plunge!! I hope things will go fab for you, I am sure they will. And I hope to meet you in CI in Birmingham if you are going! again! All the best and keep doing what you enjoy!

Aww thank you so much :-), I am loving it so far, although I am feeling a little nervous too!! :-). Yes I am at CI, it would be lovely to meet you Delicut Cakes and anyone else who is going, I am a contributing artist to the Rocky Horror Installation, and I’m also competing, so I will be there on all three days :-) xxx
