Question on Edible Lace

Hey cake people!
I was wondering if anyone had ever attempted to add tylose or CMC to the edible lace powder before mixing and moulding it?
I normally let it dry in front of a fan rather than baking it, and I’ve had fantastic results with soft, flexible lace. I’ve even added a little colour to it with the powder colours before mixing and it looks great.
Is it possible to add CMC or tylose or some such so that I can dry it into a shape once it comes out of the mould?

I never tired real lace but bought a recipe from Ciccio Cakes and it’s amazing. I just let it dry overnight and you can use it in the smallest skinniest molds. As you can see from my photo I used 2 different molds.
The ingredients are very cheap and you can make batch after batch after batch. And it’s also for a good cause, the money goes to Operation Sugar.
I really recommend it!
Here is the link if you are interested (just click on SHOP and you will find it there)

Thanks LAC.
Currently I think the only one available in SA is from Crystal Candy, and whilst I don’t mind experimenting I am loathe to mix a whole batch as an experiment – its not cheap…
