My work on someone else's site :(

It is so annoying when this happens and it happens way too often. I can see why she used your picture because that is one gorgeous cake but as we all know she should only be using photos of her own work.
On the few occasions that I have been made aware of this happening with my pics I have got in touch with the person and asked them politely but firmly to remove my photos and they have.
What you really need to start doing is to add a watermark to your pics. I know a determined faudster can remove a watermark but it does make life more difficult for them. I use Picmonkey to add mine.
Chin up, its a big compliment really and you can comfort yourself with the thought that if they need to use other people’s pics then that probably means that they have no hope of actually replicating such great work themselves. :-)

Sorry, Divine Bakes. I went through your cake pics, but can’t find this particular cake photo in your profile here?? I also went on Cakeluxe FB page and business, and did scroll through several pages, checking, and maybe I missed something, but couldn’t find any of your cake photos posted?? She certainly has sequined cakes, but no exact replica of yours that I could see??

Not sure if I’ve been blocked? This particular cake is on my profile here, I did it about 5 months ago. I can no longer see her Instagram either but I took a screen shot of my cakes on there. Mine is the wafer paper one.
Must say a big thank you the lady who spotted it though. That’s why I love this community, the support is always amazing and I am so thankful.

Ok Divine…I’m gonna ck it out….especially since she’s right in my backyard, so to speak. When I see it I’ll call her out. Not only that, but I’m a member of the Canadian Cake Decorators Guild…I’m hoping she’s a member too, cause if she is, look out, I’m gonna go on our website, and post about her stealing your cake pics.

Posted a comment on her FB site. Not sure she bother to comply. I’d contact FB. They take this very seriously, especially if you have photo evidence.

that is so sad!!! your work is so beautiful, and to have someone claim it as their own! I do not have any of my work watermarked and do not know how.. so I live in fear of that also, and someone not knowing I did the work…
