I would like some advice on which backdrop to buy for taking photos of my cakes! I now use old leftover wallpaper and gift paper but I see so many lovely backdrops! I would like a backdrop that you can use with nearly every cake! Which ones do you all use???

Hi Karen,
White is always good. I’ve got a white one, a pal blue and one with white, rough shelves (steigerhout ;-) )
Groetjes, Anneke
All my cakes are made to make you and me smile!
Hi Karen,
I agree with Anneke if you are only looking to invest in one backdrop I would do either a white one or a light bluish one.
I like this one from ink and elm. It is the one I use the most of all the ones I have.

I would recommend buying a bakedrop from Sugar High Inc. I’ve bought 4 and recently ordered 3 more. I’m totally addicted!!
She’s got LOADS to choose from, all simply gorgeous!
If you only want one, I’d said maybe a light shade of bokeh.
I’ll post the link ;)

Thank you all for your advice! And the links !

Mine came from Hobby Lobby and they work great just not a large selection.

I just bought 12 sheets of scrapbook paper at Hobby Lobby at 50% off and 3×4 foot foamcore board. Used spray adhesive in sections on the board and lined up the paper. I now have an antique looking barn wood backdrop. I was happy that the paper did not wrinkle when I placed it on the tacky board. Since I like how it turned out, I will go buy some other design & put on the back side of the same board. It is light weight & I can move it easily. I took a quick picture to show you, don’t mind the shadows since I didn’t have my lights set up. I just wanted you to get the idea
Or if you dont mind paying a little more, there are some amazing wrapping paper designs out there. :) x
