Hello Fabulous Cake Artists!
I need your advice… I’ve been asked to make a cake similar to this one (giggle giggle!) and I’m not sure how to go about it.

I’m thinking I would start with a 18×12×2″ sheet cake and carve the basic shape. My question is, how would you make the pecs and abs? Would you carve them out of cake or make some “implants” out of fondant and lay them under your top layer of fondant? Any other suggestions to help with this one would really be appreciated!!! :o) Thanks so much!
Loren

I’ve never made a cake like this… but I think your ‘implant’ idea sounds the best :)
Fondant implants sound good! Or you could use chocolate ganache to build up where needed – think that is what i would do – not too much fondant then!? Cx
Fondant implants for sure and if you for some reason that doesn’t work maybe RKT? But you got the skill to do that cake np Loren, just went out on a limb to suggest rkt cause you said any other suggestion :) Good Luck and cant wait to see the pic!

I would personally use a cake ball mixture to build up the needed areas that way it’s all cake when you cut in to it and not too much fondant. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I would probably go with a cake ball type mix as well =) can’t wait to see the finished product!

I would agree with the cake ball type mixture. Tasty, easily mold-able, and easy!

Hi Loren,
I have done a sexy male bod cake previously https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150464152722246&set=a.422799762245.208655.97985542245&type=3&permPage=1
I start with a 12″ × 12″ cake (cold cake is best to reduce crumbs) and cut off the sides to the desired proportions. The manboobs :) and six pack area is carved before covering with a thin layer of bc. The cake is covered with flesh coloured fondant, slightly thicker than I would for my other cakes so that I am able to further enhance the indents required for the muscled areas. My tip for you would be; a pair of warm hands and loving thoughts to help you caress and mould the body that you want :)
I hope it helps and happy caressing Loren! :)
