Introduce Yourself

Hi from Cancún!

I’ve been on here for a couple of weeks now and have thoroughly enjoyed looking at all the cakes. I have several that I want to post, but you know how it is – it’s December and we’re all busy, busy, busy with Christmas orders and preparations for our own family celebrations. And, of course, silly me, as if I didn’t have enough to do, I decided to make hand-made presents for several of my family members. Something I love to do, but I should have started in August, if you know what I mean. So hi and a very merry holiday season to all my fellow cakers and I’ll see you on the cakes page in January!

Haha, I know what are you talking about. I usually come up with an idea at the time when I’m extremely busy :). But I’m sure that hand-made presents are worth it!

I used to do hand made gifts, but it was very difficult to part with them after all the hard work LOL! Best wishes to you too!

Hand made presents have special meaning… I used to make hand made cards and found it added an extra special touch.

Thanks for you nice welcomes. I totally forgot to mention that I also made 45 fruitcakes for family and friends – but I did those in a timely manner, starting at the end of October (have to bathe them several times in rum, you know), so that didn’t interfere with the Christmas rush. Not very photographable, though! Once again, have a happy holiday all of you!
