Lets's share our gravity defying cakes

After reading the latest issue of CAKE magazine, I was just blown away at some of the cakes that were featured in the Gravity Defying Cakes section.

The featured cake decorators had taken novelty cakes to a whole new level and I am in awe of their creativity and ability.
If you have any pics of gravity defying cakes, particularly showing the steps taken during the construction let’s share them here!
I’ll start with my most recent…….

Hi Jo… great topic. I would like to do a gravity defying cake for my birthday next month. My design would require a metal internal structure.
I am only a hobby baker, but would be interested in a tutorial using products that meet Australian Food Standards, so that if I rejoin the workforce again, I could do these properly. In the past I have not been able to get tutorials on Craftsy to run, and my computer doesn’t want to accept an updated browser. I could probably access from a borrowed computer though… so does anyone recommend a great tutorial?

Hi Julez,
You should definitely check out the winter issue of Cake! magazine.
It has a whole feature dedicated to internal structure including pictures. Are you a liker of the CAKE! magazine facebook page?
Let me know if you can’t find it
