Caramel toffee and fondant

Hi all!!
I am making a caramel mudcake with caramel toffee that sets and then marshmallow fondant over that.
Can I cover the cake with fondant 2 days before the party and leave the cake out at room temperature?

I always leave my cakes out. I start making my cakes 3 days before they are due. I usually coat my cakes with ganache and then cover with fondant.

I agree with Jennifer… I would think that would be OK.
Would be different if the cake had fruit in it.
I worked in a place once that added fresh raspberries to white mud cake mix… the fondant often had “blowouts” the next day, with these cakes.

That won’t be a problem, I have done exactly that with the same type of cake without any issues at all :)

Yes… Lindt 15….that won’t be a problem. I do that all the time.

A mud cake with ganache and fondant can be left out of the fridge for up to 7 days

Thank you everyone. I have just frosted my caramel mud and chocolate mud. So excited. For the choc mudcake ganache I did a ratio of 1:1 for the filling and 2:1 for the frosting. That should be ok to leave out till Saturday night right?
