Introduce Yourself

Rocket Cakes, Hi i am Miranda

Hi, I love this idea of introduce yourself. I am pretty new to cake decorating. My background is a BA in Anthropology (Archaeology) and half of a BA of Fine Arts. I started by taking a wilton course to make my sons first birthday cake. I found out that i am pretty decent at doing cake decorating. I then worked at a bakery for a bit. We have since then moved and i am hoping to start selling cake next year. I have been doing cake for family to practice my skills. This is my most recent cake project. I am forcing myself to practice doing faces.

Pleased to meet you! I almost applied for a degree in archaeology, I even went on a dig in South Wales when I was 18 :) ended up doing physics instead though haha (don’t ask me how those two are related!). I love that cake, I haven’t tried a sculpted one yet, would love to some day :) best wishes, Sawsen x
