Help! On how this site works!

Hi everyone :-)
I’ve been a member for a few months now, and at first was popping by every so often when I remembered, but now
Becoming more regular with my posts. I’m not atall sure how it works! What is daily top 3 … Editors choice… Trending etc? Are the winners of these not always going to be the people with the most followers who always click the love heart on that persons work?? Confused, any help would be apretiated…. And some followers also haha xx Ashleigh xx

Hi Ashleigh, here is short explanation:

1. Daily Top 3 or Daily Top 15 cakes are cakes posted in previous 24 hours with the highest Cake Score . Cake Score is calculated automatically and the algorithm takes many ingredients, each of different weight. View, faves, comments …etc.They are posted on our home page and on our Facebook Page as well.
2. Editor’s Choice – as title says – it is a cake posted in previous 24 hours chosen by Editor(Me).
3. Trending cakes are pretty the same as Daily Top15 cakes, but for latest 30 days.
4. Silent cakes are cakes without any comments.

You’ve probably worked it out by now… but the little CakesDecor logo at the top left with the “cake”… is also a tab, which shows you the top 15!
(Someone had to tell me… but maybe I’m just slow at working things out!)

Yes, the logo is linked to “Home Page” with daily top 15 cakes and latest Blog entries, forum topics and Cake Decorator of the week!

Hi Wendy (Correct me if I am wrong Michal)… the top 15 cakes on CD get posted to the CD facebook page which has a following of 315k…
One better than the other? I can’t answer that… I am biased towards CD!
Why chose either? Both have their own features and benefits.
Lots of members here, run fb pages as well.

Thanks for that wasn’t sure how it works. I always post cakes to CD. Just wondered if the ran independent of one another. Sorry for the confusion.

im a new member, was wondering if anyone can tell me why my “add” button won’t drop down? I cant add any of my cakes :( ive tried everything
