Dark blue fondAnt with fondx

So I was wondering if anyone has tried to make a dark blue color fondant with using the blue fondx fondant as a base? I was wondering if the colored fondx colored fondant takes color well. I have only used the white and added colors before, but I have to make a really dark blue and wanted to use the blue as a base so I don’t have to use as much food coloring to get he color I want.
