I’m planning on making a cake like this in a couple of weeks, and I’m wondering how. Do I make the cut outs before I put the fondant on the cake, or after? I originally thought it would be best to cut it out before, but then putting it on the cake, the shapes might get distorted.

I copied the URL of the cake photo and then searched by image. A couple of things came up and then I just went to the sites to check it out.
