Hi! This is a tutorial that I shared on Facebook and Liz Marek from Artisan Cake Company shared on her blog.
Square cakes have been the bane of my existence for quite a while.
Until I stumbled upon this method. I literally did this by accident: I was smoothing the sides and trying to get a sharp upper corner by pinching a bit with my smoothers before I tried working the corner down with my hands. I accidentally pinched the corner too much and it started separating from the cake, but looked sealed. I decided to pinch the whole corner using my smoothers and voila! the fondant came off, sealed against the corner, all sharp like that!
Here’s my little picture tut, with thanks to Liz Marek for putting it together so nicely :)
Hope you like it!
Peace, love & cake!
