Wow! I had to do a wedding cake with “stand-up” ruffles a month or so ago and I had a heck of a time!! It took me two days just to do the ruffles! How did you do yours? They are beautiful!

Laura this is a 7inch about 4 inch high i rolled the gumpaste and fondant mix 50/50 to the thinnest i can get it then used my stripe gem cutter to cut perfect stripers…then i frilled them with a pointy modeling tool or you can use a skewer ..then i started applying them from the top about a quarter inch apart as i am moving them down …Hope this helps…i dont use a pasta machine because i find that it tears it…like this i can control how thin i go with it
