Was so thrilled to be asked to make a cake on this theme, love reading it to my class at school and also my son when he was little. I defy anyone not to tear up by the end of the story, I always struggle to get through without a lump in my throat. It was my first time handpainting, was rather nervous so didn’t do it directly on the cake, my excuse is that I wanted a layered, “pop up” effect, but may be more confident next time.
