Hi lovely peeps – here’s one of my wedding cakes from a few weeks ago. Amy came to me with her ideas for her cake, at first she was going with the idea of having suitcases and a map but decided a month or so beforehand to have something a little different.
Amy had seen a cake with the World map on and really wanted me to incorporate this on hers (me thinking OMG ………. a- I’ll never get the stencil in time and b- how fiddly is that!!)

I managed to track a company in UK that does them, did a trial run and Amy loved it. It was so blooming fiddly doing the map and I had to get it right the first time too or I was buggered!
As you know me and a paint brush don’t get on so my next hurdle was to get the ‘sea/water’ effect. In the end I just went for it, luckily for me it looked ok and Amy completely LOVED her cake.
