Graduation cake for a lovely lady going to Ole Miss in the fall. Used her high school colors for the graduation cap and “off to” on top of the M.
By the way, this cake almost didn’t happen, crazy week indeed. First, Tuesday the house three doors down gets struck by lightning so I lost that afternoon helping out. Then my new batch of gum glue with a different gumpaste brand was weird and dots kept sliding, had to stop and reice and remake with a different brand with less than 3 hours to go. But then…with the graduate on her way for pick up…my 9 year old was threading the red ribbon thru the cake stand and picked it up off the floor, turned and turned the base RIGHT in to the top tier 2015 all the way down to the cake. Yep. All tears. No screaming involved I’m proud to say, but the quickest 15 minute repair I’ve EVER seen! You can’t even tell!
