In Italy April 1 is known as “April’s fish day”. It is traditional to attack a paper fish to the back of the victim without being seen…so I thought this cake was perfect for today!!!
I made this cake a year ago for my uncle’s birthday, he is a big trout fisherman!!!
The cake was all edible, the fishing basket was a vanilla cake filled with cream and strawberries, and the trout was made with chocolate and cookies … all covered with sugar paste!
