It’s so much fun to go this girly occasionally! Lexi was having a Flower Fairy Birthday Party and her Mummy asked me to make a cake to match the theme. Lexi herself was going as the Yarrow Fairy, so I tried to give the fairy on the cake a passing resemblance to her. The cake was my very popular 8" triple layer vanilla, covered in a delicate lilac with just a hint of lustre, decorated with sugarpaste meadow ‘grass’, sugar flowers and wafer paper butterflies. The fairy was modelled entirely from sugarpaste and was so teeny tiny that at times I felt like I was going blind! Here’s a pic with my gnarly old hand for scale!

I also made some matching cupcakes, but shhh, don’t tell anyone. I don’t really do cupcakes… ;)
