This design was inspired by a cake made by My Sweet Dream Cakes. The blue swirly bits were airbrushed. The whole cake was then airbrushed with a sparkly pearlescent white. The snowflakes are edible lace.
It did amuse me that the recipe that I used to make the ice shards was one for breaking bad blue crystal meth candy.
