Baccarat Casino Table Cake

Commissioned for Sky City – Auckland.
Arrrrgh! This was truly a monster cake. This was the biggest cake I have ever made!!! It was 33 inches long and 8 inches tall. It was so heavy, my assistant and I cried bringing it down the flight of stairs of my bakery only after crumb-coating it and I barely got it through the door (I have an extra wide door!). What an experience!

It is super delicious as its 3 layers of Vanilla cake with Butter Cream and 2 layers of real fresh Strawberries along with Strawberry jam. It was 8 inches tall!

I used about 15 kgs of Buttercream, about 18 kgs of fondant, 8kg of Strawberries and filling, the cake is about 10 kgs. The board is another 15 kgs – so pretty heavy!!!!
