Another accidental design for a bridal show. Originally the striped tier was supposed to go on a different dummy and the gold tier was to be sequins. The sequin tier was a hot mess so after doing gold leaf on another cake, i had some left over leaf and thought, why not?
I signed up and did Liz Marek’s chalkboard class on CakeMade (awesome!) and knew that was going to be the bottom. Had the striped cake tier sitting there and decided, why not? Let’s go chalk it up! I think it turned out to be the perfect place for the couples name and date! Inscriptions are handpainted, tougher than i anticipated!
Lastly, i know it needs a flower. Will do a flower before the next bridal show. Any ideas on color, i’m leaning towards pink, but want some ideas out of the norm….black?

its gorgeous! What about something unconventional for a flower color… like teal or something – or coral would look nice too

when do the “colors of the next year” come out? Could do that. I think coral would be pretty! need to practice coloring wafer paper, coral is a hard color to master….
